I didn't miss much.
Well, I guess I missed a win, but that didn't happen until after two more losses, and didn't prevent yet another lost series. So it goes.
The news from the weekend is that Byrd has been sent to the minors, exchanged for Matt Cepicky, who hasn't exactly been lighting it up in AAA.
Blessed feces, Guzman went 2-for-2 with two walks last night. I still don't really believe it. Combine that with a hit in Friday's game, and it's safe to say he's ON FIRE. 3-for-7 in his past three games? It doesn't get any better than that. His OPS is now a blistering .502.
The next game is tomorrow night, at home against the Dodgers, who are slumping in their own right. Maybe a few wins aren't out of the question here.
